I hope you’re having a lovely week so far as we edge closer and closer to the ‘heat wave’ summer weather we’re all hoping for!
Last week was a busy, busy one for the angels here in Mandy’s Heaven, all in preparation for our first appearance at the Hertfordshire County Show. I think I can say on behalf of the team that the weekend was a great success, all kick started by the fact that we were positioned not only opposite a gigantic food hall, but also next door to a PIMMS AND CHAMPAGNE BAR! (Hearing that we were surrounded by such a perfect combination felt like music to our ears!)
After a cheeky browse of the food hall (including an array of seafood, sweets, pasties and cookies larger than my head) the hard work of setting up our boutique in a 6.5m by 3.5m marquee needed to begin, of which we did surprisingly quicker than anticipated, presumably due to the increasing practice we are getting from attending events similar to this. (For a lady in retail, I must admit I’m getting pretty handy with a nail and hammer from the constant set - up and take – down of our portable changing room).
Overall, the weekend was fab. One of the most rewarding things is to see familiar faces at events like this from both our shop and other events. The support we have from our customers is fantastic and we really, really appreciate everything you have done to help us make Mandy’s Heaven such a success! It’s been equally amazing to meet new customers and introduce them to our Mandy’s Heaven collection as well as gain their opinion on the range. It’s this personal touch and need to get out there and meet our customers, that I feel is the most crucial element in allowing us to constantly tailor our collection to the individual needs of our customers! It’s also what I love most about what I do.
So, having finished our lovely weekend in St. Albans, all topped off with a glass of Prosecco and a few samples of the gin and tonic stand, we can now reflect on a wonderful event as we make our way through the final week of May. All with the aim of replenishing our
Mandy’s Heaven collection in order for you to get ready for this season!
