Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn - The Perfect Wardrobe Transition!

Ladies if you are someone who loves the hot summer days, beautiful warm Summer evenings sometimes the transition into the colder Autumn breeze is a struggle.  But do not worry, I am here to help you transition smoothly for the upcoming colder season so don't throw away those maxi dresses and tunics just yet!

The Autumn season, the air is fresh, as cooler temperatures set in pumpkin spice lattes and autumnal gold trees surround us. We start to layer up and get cosy as days get shorter and nights longer.

This year Autumn colours are more vibrant and more saturated than ever!

Yellow for A/W 20/21 will be an essential element for the autumn palette, pairing it in combination with brown and green! It's perfect for casual wear, particularly knitwear and outerwear. It's best to match these colours with textured materials for style. Add citrus to spice things up and add fire to your look! Bring the brightness of these tones to life with fabrics and surfaces that reflect light, such as satin, velvet, and stunning embellishments.

Neutrals with subtle tints will make an appearance this Autumn, these stunningly tinted neutral colours are a critical trans-seasonal colour. It's versatile and will work from Autumn through to spring. Ladies, use these soft tinted tones in combination with simple basics such as waterfall tops, trousers as well as woven items such as cotton tees.

This Autumn, we will be focusing on warm tones to add a sense of luxury! Reds and browns have been gaining commercial appeal for several seasons now and are perfect for the upcoming holidays! These colours are perfect for natural fit tailoring, layer them together for both a modern and refined feel.

Grey is a must! With a wide range of different shades and tints of soft blues, it's a great transition colour that works for all seasons.

Throughout the season we will see the appearance of light to dark greens. This has been the most influential tone over recent years and it will most definitely continue into Autumn. Try to embrace the contrast of deep petrol blues and greens with more acidic hues to create dramatic and futuristic party wear! To compliment all of the bright and vibrant tones add in some stunning jewellery to tie in the look.

When transitioning in to Autumn, layer your Summer clothing. Layered looks are fashion-forward and super cute! Not to mention cosy and will keep you warm in the brisk breeze. Layer up longer length tops such as tunics with cardigans over a lovely pair or bottoms such as leggings or jeans - This way you don't have to put away all of your summer favourites. You can even add a light scarf, and a pair of boots to finish your perfect Autumn outfit look!
